About

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the DFG Research Training Group “Digital Platform Ecosystems” at the University of Passau and currently a visiting scholar at the USC Marshall School of Business. I received my PhD in Economics and Business Information Systems from the University of Passau.

I am interested in how regulation and design of digital markets shape economic user behavior, and how technological change transforms these markets. I use quasi-experimental methods to study these questions empirically, mostly in the context of mobile app and knowledge platforms. I am also interested in how AI can help us develop new methods to study these phenomena.

Beyond academia, I was a research fellow at the Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation (EFI), which advises the German federal government on research and innovation policy. Before my PhD, I spent five years at Bosch Building Technologies in sales and business development.
